Rolling green hills and gorgeous stone walls surrounded us as we traversed through the Mourne Mountains on our way up to Simply Mourne in County Down, Ireland.
Around noon, we pulled up the drive with a babbling stream flowing over all those stones, birds chirping, two pups playing in the garden, and the sweet smell of nature all around.
Catherine Bradford, the maker of Simply Mourne's handmade Irish pebble art, was kind enough to take time out of her very busy week, not to mention busy holiday time, to have a wee chat and show us around her beautiful new studio.
Although she claimed her new studio is a work in progress, it is clear that her vision and motivation of making it just right will come to pass quickly which will enable us to bring you even more gorgeous pebble art from Ireland.
While in the studio, we were also lucky enough to meet two additional artists, Joanne and Lisa, who were busy making new and heartfelt pieces.
Inspiration for each pebble art piece comes from Catherine's love of nature and the breathtaking landscape of her home in the mountains.
She prides herself on creating quality pieces that are handcrafted and handmade with attention to detail and utmost care.
